LAND, LANd, LAnd, Land, land...We currently need a sizable piece of land, preferably with a source of water to realize this project. As our main office and staff are in southern CA, this is where we would like to organize our first Camp, but we are open to other locations. We hope to later expand nationally, and eventually...internationally. More later....Updates:
January 2009: We have been blessed to have use of a beautiful piece of raw land on the Big Island of Hawaii and thus, this will be site of our initial Camp Indigo. The next stage is to create a suitable area to build on and we need:
-Bulldozing/Land clearing of lava and trees to create a level working area.
-Cinder/Soil/Compost to start a garden. We also need farming equipment & tools of all kinds.
-Well drilling and water storage equipment.
-4x4 pick up truck and other vehicles to transport children.
-Organic plant starters (edible as well as bamboo, wilie wilie, etc..for wind breaks) and seeds.
